Prasthanam though did not have big actors has made place for itself among the list of best movies which has encouraged people for remaking this into other languages. First to be interested in this is Prakash Raj who stepped in first to do a Tamil remake of this movie, by stating his interest to do the role of Sai Kumar in this movie.

Even the director Deva Katta who could not get huge financial success through this movie only expected that this movie will give him better recognition and respect by which he wanted to be satisfied. But all these expectations of Deva Katta have been evaporated by Prakash Raj taking a step back on his work and cancelling any thoughts about doing a remake of this movie in Tamil.

After this, Deva Katta now plans to dub the movie in Tamil where hero Sarwanand has slight recognition which might help in getting this movie sufficient respect. If Prakash Raj would have gone ahead with his plans to remake this movie would have definitely falling into the eyes of great people but with only dubbing this might not get as much respect as it should actually.
